The mayor of Washington, DC, Vincent Gray, was in attendance and seated front row for the unveiling of the new racing president, William "Bill" Howard Taft (watch that here). As he sat and waited, he was approached by the Chicken Mode guy, who was holding a fluffy chicken puppet on his hand.
