The Top 5 Nats Vine Videos Of The Weekend

DC Sports Nexus ---- Tuesday, September 2, 2014

The week didn't start out too great getting swept by the Phillies, but a series win against the Mariners, an opening win against the Dodgers, and a heck of a lot of homeruns led to some more great Washington Nationals Vine Videos. Here are your top 5 from last week.

1. Bryce Harper Crushes A Homer

Bryce Harper not only drilled the upper deck restaurant in Seattle, but he came within yards of the bullseye of the Hit It Here Cafe.

2. FP Santangelo Calls A Homerun Before It Happens

Anthony Rendon hit a homer against the Phillies, but moments beforehand the Washington Nationals announcer basically called the homerun and the location.

3. Mike Rizzo Steals Shut Down Reliever From Scrap Heap

How did Matt Thornton get released by the New York Yankees and get scooped up by the Washington Nationals for basically nothing? I have no idea, but what a move by Mike Rizzo. Here's a vine of where we think the Nats GM actually found Thornton.

4. The Spanbino Talks About Getting Tested For PEDs

After hitting 2 homeruns against the Dodgers on Monday, Nats analyst Phil Wood jokingly compared the outfielder to Babe Ruth nicknaming him the Spanbino. After the game Span talked about the jokes he hears for his teammates about having MLB test him for PEDs.

5. Vin Scully Does A Gio Gonzalez Impression

Vin Scully of the Dodgers is one of the, if not THE, best announcers in the history of sports and on Monday night he decided to honor Gio Gonzalez with an impersonation. Scully was talking about how Gio talked to himself on the mound, and went into a full blown impression. It was awesome.
