"You're the f**king man!"  That's what the Bryce Harper fan who recorded Harper's second homerun, the game winning homerun, that gave the Nationals the 7-6 victory over the New York Mets.  The Nationals scored all 7 runs on homers, helping out Gio Gonzalez who struggled on the day before he was knocked out of the game early.

Ian Desmond hit a solo shot in the 2nd inning, Bryce hit a 2 run shot in the third, and counting right on up to Adam LaRoche's 3 run shot in the 5th.  Finally, in the 8th inning, Bryce Harper hit the game winning solo shot.

Gio pitched just 4 innings giving up 5 runs and 4 walks as he struggled with control all day.  At one point in the game, Gio threw two breaking balls consecutively that almost hit the Mets Lucas Duda in the head.  Gonzalez appeared mentally flustered and it showed.

With Gio out of the game after giving up the lead, LaRoche's homer gave the lead back to the Nats.  But Ryan Mattheus gave up a run in the 7th which knotted the game at 6.  The next inning Harper crushed a homerun and Tyler Clippard (W, 1-0) and Rafael Soriano (S, 6) closed out the game.

Oh yeah, and right now Bryce is hitting homers less than every 9 at bats...

The Nats go for the series victory on Sunday in New York.
