Dibble claims the firing had something to do with Strasburg's father sending an email. If you don't remember:
"Now remember, I said that on my own radio show on another network, and his father e-mailed the owner and the owner wanted me out of there. so that’s the bottom line."
-Rob Dibble via Washington Post via FoxSports.comOn Tuesday afternoon, Strasburg was possibly pranked with icy hot or possibly got it on himself, right in an area where a guy doesn't want to get it. So Strassy had to pitch with the burning discomfort. (Stras wouldn't comment but Davy Johnson mentioned something about it in the presser.)
Well Dibble is obviously not over the whole National's firing thing, or the Stephen Strasburg mess. On Tuesday night he took to Twitter @RobDibble49 to criticize Strasburg for being soft once again. He called him out for making excuses for his poor pitching performance in the 6-1 loss to the Padres. (4 innings, 7 hits, 4 runs, 2 walks) The Tweets:
He is inferring that great pitchers don't make excuses, and therefore Strasburg isn't a great pitcher. He thinks Strassy told on his teammates. And the funniest, he even thinks that Strasburg lacks Natitude.
So how bad does Rob Dibble hate it that the Nationals are doing well right now...
