Well the day has finally come.  With Zimmerman and Morse on the DL and the team hitting like garbage, the Washington Nationals have called up the Chosen One, Bryce Harper.

In 20 days at AAA Syracuse, Harper batted .250 with only one homerun.  Of his 18 hits, only 6 were for extra bases.  Despite his less than expected stats the Nats feel like it is time to try to spark their offense (and their attendance-Dollar hot dog night for a first place team is kind of sad)

Harper will play on Saturday, no word on if he will be starting or just available to sub in, but I know I'll be watching.  On Tuesday against the D-Backs, Harper will make his home debut.  Could be a fun night at Nats Park.

With DeRosa and Bernadina in the outfield, I have no problem at all with this move.  Let's see what the kid can do.
