The Washington Nationals have announced that Stephen Strasburg will be the opening day starter. This doesn't really come as a surprise as Strassy seems to be fully recovered from his injury and he is clearly the ace of the rotation. There are still a few weeks before the season starts, so hopefully Stephen can keep his arm in good shape to start the season strong.
Sadly for the fans, the Nationals are opening the season on the road in Chicago, and then a second away series against the Mets. So it is looking like Sunday April 16th, a home game on Monday night against the Astros may be our first chance to see Steve-O in DC. This could be a good game to secure tickets to early.
Looks more like it would be Saturday or Sunday (probably Sunday unless they go with only 4 starters the first 2 weeks).
