During Thursday night's broadcast of NBC comedy Parks & Recreation, Toyota ran a non-dealer specific (probably regional branding) commercial spot featuring Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals. You may remember seeing people tweeting about Bryce filming this commercial back at the end of February.
The commercial was a "Toyota Talk Show" featuring a host, Dan Kolko from MASN, telling Harper all the great stats about the Toyota Tundra, and Harper trying to tell the host that his stats were better.
Unfortch, the video isn't online yet, but every time Bryce says a line, the host talks about Toyota.
Bryce's Lines:
"I hit 22 homeruns and helped my team make the playoffs for the first time ever."
"Well, I did make the all-star team."
"I was named National League rookie of the year."
It ends with Harper laughing and ceding the argument when he finds out that the Tundra pulled the Space Shuttle Endeavor.
Bryce looks as awkward as ever in the spot, so we love it. If you look closely at the video that doesn't exist, you can see his left leg shaking like crazy in a nervous tic.
Previously, Bryce was seen driving a souped up Toyota Truck with Vegas plates in the minor leagues shown in this video (via Last Angry Fan):
