Bryce Harper stepped to the plate in the 4th inning and sent a baseball towards outer space, sparking a mid-game rally that helped the Washington Nationals defeat the Chicago White Sox 5-2 on Wednesday night at Nats Park.  But Harper, who has 6 2-hit games in the first 8, wasn't the only one who was on point.

Ian Desmond had an extra-base hit for the 5th straight game, hitting 2 doubles and a triple.  Danny Espinosa who has been in a huge rut knocked in his first 2 RBIs of the season on two big hits, one a double.  Ryan Zimmerman even broke out of a 0-15 slump with an RBI single.

The Washington Nationals lineup isn't always all hitting up to their potential, but the other guys in the lineup step-up when the other guys are struggling.  Once everyone is on the same page, the Nats are going to be an offensive force that will be nearly impossible to stop.

Talk about burying the lead.  Jordan Zimmermann was on his A-game, pitching 7 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, removed with a pitch count of 90.  Rafael Soriano picked up his 4th save of the season (and nobody was happier than this guy)

The Nats go for the sweep tomorrow with a second look at Dan Haren who struggled in his first Nationals start...
