Stephen Strasburg not only 3 hit the Marlins through 6 shutout innings, but he also drove in two of the Nationals 4 runs, helping Washington defeat Miami 4-1 at Nats Park on Sunday afternoon.  Strasburg struck out 6 in the and walked just one to pick up his 12th win of the season (12-5).

After Strasburg's 2 run single in the 2nd inning, Adam Laroche continued his hot August by driving in the other 2 Nationals runs.  After hitting 4 homers in 3 days, LaRoche went 2 for 3 with a walk.

Bryce Harper is breaking out of his slump notching two more hits on Sunday.  However the story of Bryce's day was on a strikeout in the 4th inning.  After foul tipping the third strike Harper smashed his bat down in disgust on home plate, shattering the bat all over the place. (View The incident Here)  More fire from the young rookie (he went on to apologize to the ump later)

With a 3 run lead and Tyler Clippard not available due to pitching 3 nights in a row, Drew Storen got the nod in the ninth inning for the close.  Storen gave up a hit, but picked up his first save since his injury last season.

The Nationals head to Houston for a 4 game series with the Astros starting Monday...
