Allowing fans to vote is one of the dumbest things in professional sports. You end up getting injured players voted to be starters despite not playing in enough games and many other issues described here.
This happens in all the major sports and even the Wizards, both team and players, were telling fans to vote for their guys to make the all-star team. The only problem was that half of the players didn't deserve to be considered for a high-school all-star game let alone the NBA's and the team was one of the worst of all time.
Well of course the Nationals are doing the same thing (I think MLB requires them to) and these are the eight players featured on the ballot (voting started after game 20). Your eyes don't deceive you, that is every starter on the Nationals (and I think every starter on every team is on the ballot).
We know there are several pitchers that should be considered, although most likely the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers pitching staffs will end up filling the roster.
But lets ignore the fact that most of these position guys probably shouldn't even be considered. Who would you vote for that you think DESERVES to be on the All-Star team. (you can vote for multiple players)
