The Nexiversary: Happy Hour & A Ballgame With The DC Sports Nexus

It's hard to believe but it has been one year since I took a few random blogs and combined them to form the DC Sports Nexus.  Each season for each sports team, fans helped the site grow into something really fun.

To celebrate, I thought it would be a good idea to do something that many of us have already been doing all Spring long.  Go to a Nats game and meetup beforehand for some drinks and discussion.  Sometimes they call it a tweet-up, but if you aren't on Twitter you can come too.  And what better weekend to get a bunch of DC Sports fans together then for a game against the hated Philadelphia Phillies.

So how do you join the fun?

Meet The Nexus At The IYNT Tweet-Up

Next Tuesday, July 2nd, the Washington Nationals are hosting a "Ignite Your Nattitude Tweet-up" for fans on Twitter.  I'm sure it will be nothing compared to the RMNB Parties, but it should be fun nonetheless.

If you don't like the Nats, or baseball, who cares.  It will be a fun night at the ballpark.  Plus, this will give you the reader, a chance to meet some of the writers from the DC Sports Nexus.  I will be there along with baseball writer Dru and hockey writer Camilla as well.  We would love to hear your thoughts on our writing, suggestions, etc as well as just talk DC Sports.

The whole idea of the site is for fans to contribute.  We have fans play in our pick'em games, give suggestions for topics to cover, shout out to great Twitter people, and we even encourage people to write fan-posts too.  (The Caps/Wiz sites will be like this too during the season)

Plus you can debate who the Caps should have picked in the NHL Draft with...me.  Or wouldn't you like to talk about Stephen Strasburg's WAR...with Cammy?  Or how about Wizards draft analysis from...Dru...or maybe stick to stuff we know.

• You buy tickets here for $20 each, plus fees turning it into more like $25 each.
• Tickets include $6 Credit for Concessions
• The game is Tuesday, July 3rd
• The game starts at an odd time, 6:35pm
• The Nats are playing the San Francisco Giants that night
• Seats are decent, Outfield Seats, not in the upper deck
• Post-Game Fireworks
• Brolos are welcome
