Washington Nationals & Redskins Cartoon Playing Cards Are Cool

DC Sports Nexus ---- Sunday, August 17, 2014

Washington Nationals pitcher Gio Gonzalez tweeted a picture of some cool looking playing cards that have caricatures of different Washington Nationals players on them. Well they looked awesome so I decided to find out where he got them. Here's what I found out.

The company that sells the cards is called Hero Deck and they offer cards for NFL teams, MLB teams, NCAA football teams, and more. These team decks ($10 each) feature the top 52 players (as deemed by the company) in franchise history. This means that for the Nats at least, lots of the players are pretty current. (You can see the players, and buy the cards here)

The cards feature a player, some with nicknames (Jayson "Wearwolf" Werth ... um is that a thing?) and then a stat or fact ("excels at all phases of the game") ... lol. FACT!

While they do avoid using the team names (Washington Baseball), they clearly are taking likenesses (and using names) of players, so if you want these cards you may have to get them before they get sued by Bryce Harper's "people" or something like that. So hurry hurry.

Good news, they also have Washington Redskins ones too (although they are pre- RG3).

  1. A couple decades back if you would happen to spark up a conversation with some random person who happened to be from another country about their favorite football team, they would have talked about soccer.

  2. As a kid, a great many people figure out how to attract kindergarten utilizing huge markers and an extensive assortment of colored pencils. On the off chance that you need to take your specialty abilities to the following level you simply need to put resources into some shaded pencils.Check This Out
