MASN Using Stock Footage To Make Washington Monument Prettier

DC Sports Nexus ---- Wednesday, April 3, 2013

One of the fun things about TV magic is that you can film a whole bunch of stock footage or B-Roll in 1-2 days, and then use that to portray what something looks like in the future without paying extra camera guys to go out and work night after night.

Well MASN appears to be utilizing this strategy.  Check out this footage of the Washington Monument at night:

Notice anything strange about that.  Well if you have been to DC recently you will.  Right now, the Washington Monument's bottom half is covered in scaffolding as they restore it from Earthquake damages.  The scaffolding was put up back in early March and is still there today.

It is no mystery that B-Roll is used, but should it not accurately portray the current times?  LOL the Nats are winning who cares about this!
