Gio Gonzalez started Tuesday night's World Baseball Classic matchup between the USA and Puerto Rico and as he stood on the mound he seemed to notice a TV camera from far away. Then...he looked deep inside my soul...then...he dominated...
I really hope he wasn't hypnotized to kill the Queen of England like Reggie Jackson in Naked Gun...
It turned out that Gio was just in a zone. His final line in 5 innings: 3 Hits, 5 K's, 0 BB. AND they took him out after 69 pitches, which should make Nats fans happy.
